Six ambassadors to ignore Nobel Peace Prize awarding ceremony this year
Representatives of six countries of the world will not attend this year's Nobel Peace Prize awarding ceremony, which will take place on December 10 in Oslo. China, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Cuba, Morocco and Russia will not send their ambassadors there. Usually all the ambassadors working in Oslo are invited to the ceremony, but each year several diplomats ignore the event. They are not obliged to explain the reasons for their absense, according to ВВС. This year the Nobel Peace Prize went to the Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo who is now in prison. However, there will be no one to collect the prize - his wife is under home arrest. According to the rules, the Nobel Prize can be collected only by the winner himself or by his close relatives.
