Slavonic Literature and Culture Day marked today
Slavonic peoples using the Cyrillic alphabet are celebrating the Slavonic Literature Day today. It has been celebrated in Belarus since 1986 and is called the Slavonic Literature and Culture Day, reminds BelTA. May 24 is not an occasional date. The Orthodox Church commemorates Saint Cyril and Saint Methodius, enlighteners and Christian preachers.
