Slutsk officials forbid action dated for uprising of 1920
A traditional action dated for the anniversary of Slutsk uprising has been forbidden by Slutsk officials. They said that the place near the museum “was not meant” for mass events. However, the anniversary of an anti-Bolshevist uprising has been celebrated there for many years and organizers have never had problems with it. Let us remind you that the action usually takes place during the last week of November and the first week of December. Applications for it are usually presented by BNF or CDP-BNF. The BNF party sent it this year and was refused for the first time ever. The leader of “BNF-Youth” Franak Vyachorka says:
"Officials have not offered us any other place as an alternative variant. They have not offered to conduct the meeting elsewhere, they have simply refused us. We consider it to be a violation of the law and are going to appeal the decision in the district executive committee and then in court if it does not help”.
Let us remind you that the action in Slutsk was planned for November 23. Minsk youth will come to this town in any case.
