Sobyanin to cooperate with Belarus as good as Luzhkou

The new Moscow administration will establish even closer contacts with Belarus than Luzkou’s administration did. The deputy Moscow Mayor responsible for communication with mass media Alexander Gorbenko has informed about it answering our reporter’s question at a meeting with Belarusian, Ukrainian, Moldavian, Georgian, Armenian and Azerbaijani journalists. Gorbenko: “We will try to establish even closer relations with Belarus”.

Answering the question whether  the new Moscow administration was worried about the fact that the Belarusian President was called “the last European dictator”, Gorbenko was surprised and said: “Aren’t there any others?!” He added that Lukashenka ruled the state the way he could and that Moscow was interested in economic cooperation in the first place.

Commenting on critical essays and films dedicated to President Lukashenka on Russian TV channels and in printed editions and criticizing his government style and the situation in Belarus, the Moscow official claimed that “journalists wrote what the felt like”.
