Special police troops disperse solidarity action in Minsk

Special police troops did not allow to conduct an action of solidarity with the detained in connection with July 4 explosion in Kastrychnitskaya Square yesterday. About 40 participants of the action were pushed into nearby streets. The leader of the United Civil Party Anatol Lyabedzka was beaten. The action was initiated by the political council of the United Democratic Forces. Several dozen people holding portraits of the detained, white-red-white flags and the flag of the European Union lined up along Independence Avenue. However, according to BelaPAN, they did not manage to stay there for more than 3 minutes.

Special police troops pushed the activists towards International Street and then to Yanka Kupala Street. The demonstrators surrounded by the police marched up to the crossroads of Vera Haruzhai and Maxim Bahdanovich Streets. Nobody was detained.
