Stop Petrol flashmob action in Minsk
The Stop Petrol action will be continued today with a flashmob at a fuel station in Minsk. By fillinf the minimum quantity of petrol, motorists are trying to grab attention of the public to whay petrol costs always on the rise in Belarus. Activist Artsiom Sharkous says: "We understand very well why Belneftekhim is raising the costs, but let them say it loud. Let them say frankly that motorists are charged an additional levy in order to support the national budget. Then, we will agree or not with this but not those pseudo-objective arguments".
The flashmob site is not a secret. "The Stop Petrol action will not end on June 4. But today there will be a flashmob when we will gather some 150 cars at one of the fuel stations in Minsk and put 2 liters into every vehicle. The action will continue until we get a clear answer from Belneftekhim why pump costs are always rising in this country", says Sharkou.
The flashmob will take place at the fuel station No 39 Belarusnafta on Minsk-Hrodna highway. All interested motorists are invited to arrive at 1800. If the fuel station is closed for some reason, flashmobber will head to another Belarusnafta fuel station.
