Students offered a day-off so they could vote pre-term
The rector of Homel State University named after Francysk Skaryna Aliaksandr Rahachou conducted a meeting with students and teachers on December 10. The rector and a student of the math faculty held speeches before the audience. Both the rector and the student were the delegates of the All-Belarusian Congress, so they shared their impressions, informs the web-site of the human rights center "Viasna".
According to one of the participants of the meeting, the rector urged students to vote pre-term and suggested to cancel the classes on December 18 so that everyone could vote early. "It is interesting, that there were people in the audience who were against early voting in spite of the promised day-off", - the student added.
