Supreme Court sees no reason to reconsider election results
The Supreme Court of Belarus has refused to start a case concerning Ryhor Kastusyou’s complaint. The former presidential candidate representing the BPF party sent an appeal to the Supreme Court on January 3. He indicated the cases of violations during the election campaign and urged to reconsider the results of the election approved by the CEC, reports the website of the BPF. Ryhor Kastusyou has received a written reply from the Supreme Court today, on January 11. According to the letter, the complaint was considered by Judge Zhukouskaya G.K. and she decided not to start a case because “there was no reason for it”.
"Of course I knew that the decision would be like that. The CEC secretary Mikalai Lazavik had said it even before my appeal was considered. There was nothing new in the letter”, - claimed Ryhor Kastusyou.
