Three Belarusians get to final of Yandex Web Search Cup
According to the results of the second round of the 8th Yandex Web search Cup, three Belarusians managed to get to the final – they are last year’s finalists Yauhen Mirotsin and Tsimafei Skarenka and a second-year student of the Russian State Humanitarian University – a Belarusian Anton Somin.
The Belarusians traditionally showed their high quality game: let us remind you that four Belarusians got to the final last year and the title of “the person who found everything” belonged to a Belarusian Ihar Mahanyok in 2005-2006. Now he works for Google.
Ihar is still the only one who has managed to become a champion for two years on end because winners of previous championships cannot automatically participate in the final after the rules were changed. This year’s prize – the title “The Person Who Found Everything” and 701 thousand rubles will be awarded in the studio of the First Youth TV Channel O2TV in Moscow on December 13.
