Trade unions in Brest region to demand the return of transport benefits

Around 100 residents of the Brest region have agreed to join a group that will gather signatures for the return of discounts for rides at public transport.  The initiative is spearheaded by the local branch of the Belarusian Trade Union of Radio-electronic Industry's Workers. Beginning from late March, trade union activists has been carrying out an awareness campaign.

According to Zinaida Makhnyuk, the leader of the local branch, residents support the idea of gathering 50,000 signatures and file a proposal with the House of Representatives, demanding the restoration of transport benefits, reports Belapan.
