Traffic police to stop speeding drivers with British nets

Belarus's Traffice Police will buy special nets to be used for stopping speeding drivers. The decision was influenced by the March 2008 'live shield' incident when traffic officers used civilian vehicles to arrest a drunk speeding drivers, reports Interfax.  The England-made nets will be unfolded in front of the chased vehicle. The traffic police say the nets are safer than metal thorns.
