Trial for hoisting white-red-white flag to take place in Vitsebsk today
Barys Hamaida detained by the police in the centre of the city with a white-red-white flag on January 3 has been summoned to Vitsebsk Railway District Court.
The opposition member only managed to unfold the fag and policemen in plain clothes approached him right away, informs Radio Liberty.
The hearing will start at 3.30 p.m. Judge Alena Tsyhankova will consider Barys Hamaida’s case. She refused to consider the opposition member’s case on January 3 and sent the policemen’s report for revision. The policemen did not mention the fact that Mr.Hamaida accused of the violation of the order of organization of mass events had not been detained for it for the first time.
