Trial of Rynas’s gang starts in Vitsebsk
Unprecedented security measures have been used in Vitsebsk Regional Court. Hearing of the case against the so-called Rynas’s gang has started there.
Almost thirty members of the criminal organization, mainly former sportsmen, policemen and employees of state institutions will stand the trial. The gang had been committing grave and heinous crimes for 10 years. It is responsible for robberies, brigandage, extortion and abduction.
The office of the court is surrounded by the police; radio-metal locators are installed near the entrance. According to the ONT channel, a specials cage has been delivered from Minsk. Members of the gang will be placed in it during the hearing. Some witnesses’ surnames have been changed to assure their safety.
