Two smugglers try to raft cigarettes across Neman to Lithuania
Hrodna frontier guards have prevented an attempt to raft a consignment of Russian cigarettes across the Neman to Lithuania.
According to the press centre of the State Border Committee, two Belarusians approached the river bank in an UAZ in order to raft their goods.
24 thousand packs of cigarettes wrapped in tarpaulin cases were found in the car’s body during the check-up. Moreover, there was a portable USB-station in the car.
The cigarettes costing about 36 million roubles were confiscated.
