Vasil Parfyankou’s sentence to be appealed on March 25
The complaint will be considered by Minsk City Court. The trial will begin at 10 a.m. The complaint was lodged by lawyer Ihar Papkouski.
An activist of Uladzimir Nyaklyayeu’s election team Vasil Parfyankou was detained on January 4 as a suspect in the case of Dec.19 mass disorders in Minsk. Parfyankou was accused of participation in the mass disorders. Minsk Frunze District Court (judge Volha Komar) sentenced him to 4 years in a top-security prison on February 17, informs the human rights centre “Vyasna”.
