V.Siuchyk is imprisoned for 10 days for Kurapaty
Minsk District Court sentenced the head of the “Memorial” section of Belarusian voluntary association of protection of historical monuments and culture Vyachaslau Siuchyk to 10 days of detention on June 4. The politician was accused of having violated the rules of organization of mass actions or pickets. Members of Minsk District Department of the Interior detained V.Siuchyk before the ceremony of commemoration of victims of Stalin’s repressions in Kurapaty. The action was dated for the 20th anniversary of revealing the tragedy to the world.
A stranger in plain clothes introduced himself as the deputy head of the District Department of the Interior Hryb. He gave the officer’s word of honour and promised that they will deliver Siuchyk back to the tract. However, it did not happen. The politician spent the night in the confinement cell of Minsk District Department of the Interior.
