Wages of workers on government payroll to remain 20% higher

The regulation on keeping the wages of workers on a government payroll working in the field of healthcare, education, culture, sport and social services 20% higher will be preserved in Belarus. It concerns people working in organizations situated in rural areas. At the moment this regulation is established according to the law “On social and cultural development of rural areas and the agroindustrial complex” of May 29, 1991. The law will be cancelled soon.

But all the guarantees of wages for rural workers on a government payroll will be kept according to decree #254. The decree will come into power on July 1, 2007.
