White egg in red square remains trademark of “MTS”
The appeal Council of the National Centre for intellectual property decided to allow the “MTS” company to use the image of a white egg in a red square on May 8. Let us remind you that a poet Ales Murlanau and an artist Victar Markavets tried to appeal the registration of the trademark in Belarus. The authors referred to the fact that their “Eggsquares” series had been created and published in 1992.
The Appeal Council took the side of the authors and confirmed their rights for the image of a red egg in a white square. However, now it has accepted the arguments of “MTS”.
The authors’ lawyers do not exclude the possibility of lodging an appeal.
