White-red-white flag appears near police office in Vitsebsk
Another white-red-white flag appeared in Vitsebsk yesterday. The action became part of the white-red-white marathon dated for the anniversary of independence of the Belarusian People’s Republic.
According to a Vitsebsk opposition member Barys Hamaida, a tablet with the name of a BPR’s political figure, linguist and the author of “Practical Belarusian Grammar” Yazep Lyosik was attached to the flag.
Interestingly, the flag was attached to a five-storey block of flats situated near the police office, namely the department on prevention of organized crime, however, it took policemen some time to notice it. The white-red-white flag could be observed near the police office for 45 minutes.
