White-red-white flag confiscated in Brest due to “graceless staff”
The Day of Freedom in Brest has caused practically no losses for members of the democratic movement. The only problem was that three guys received phone calls and were ordered to visit the military registration and enlistment office when they were on their way to Minsk.
However, a protocol of “an incident” was drawn up against an architect Iryna Laurouskaya - she hoisted a big white-red-white flag in her balcony facing the main street of the city on the morning of March 25. It was confiscated for “a graceless staff” – a microphone fishing rod.
Representatives of the left-wing forces laid flowers on the memorial stone in the Freedom Square. They also organized a round-table discussion “The BPR and the Present” in their office. They are still able to pay more than one million a month for it. They complained that the authorities in the Freedom Square were represented only by the Ministry of Internal Affaires.
Flowers were also laid on the monument to a partisan Adam Trypus in Balahou Cemetery. An apostolic visatator archimandrite Syarhei Hayek conducted a mass for the Annunciation and Belarus in the Greek-Catholic church.
