Winners of BAJ contest “PhotoPositive” are awarded
The awarding of winners of the contest “Photo Positive” organized by a civil organization “The Belarusian Association of Journalists” (BAJ) took place in the office of BAJ in Minsk on June 1. BAJ started the contest on the International Day of Press, May 3. The organization suggested that photo amateurs should make 5 colour photos during the day and send them to the BAJ e-mail address. Photos were to be colourful, informative and positive.
“We chose the winners on May 17 – the day when the first colour photo appeared in 1861. Our contest is very positive so we decided to give out the prizes on the first day of summer”, -noted the presenter, editor-in-chief of the internet edition “Salidartnast” Alyaksandr Starykevich.
More than 85 photos were sent to the contest. Pavel Mitskevich (Homel) became third, Valery Kazuiminski (Minsk) – second and Pavel Berasneu (Minsk) became first. Other prizes were given to Hanna Ilyina (Minsk) and Andrei Bastunets, the BAJ deputy chairperson, who also took part in the contest.
