Women’s party “Nadzeya” may be liquidated today
The Supreme Court will start discussing the appeal about liquidation of the Belarusian women’s party “Nadzeya” today. The leader of the party Alena Yaskova has informed ERB about it.
“Of course I understand the situation but we will do everything possible to protect our party. We have a lot of arguments. We think that this measure does not correspond to the situation in the party. The new statute was adopted not so long ago. We did not have enough time to follow the statute’s regulations and they want to liquidate the party immediately”.
Let us remind you that the appeal about the liquidation of the party was sent by the Ministry of Justice. The reason for it was the absence of a legal address and the fact that the party’s affiliates were not officially registered.
“The Women” are accused of having participated in the conference of “The Union of the Left Parties” that took place abroad. The Supreme Court will start discussing the case at about 11 a.m.
