World AIDS Day marked today
6 people become HIV-positive every single minute on the planet. About 60 million people have got the human immunodeficiency virus since the epidemy started in the 80s. 25 million people died. In Belarus, the first AIDS case was recorded in 1987. Mahileu and Minsk regions, including the city of Minsk, are among the leaders with regard to the number of people sick with AIDS. 70% of all the registered cases are people aged 15-29.
