World Bank representative's visit to Belarus begins

The visit of the World Bank's Country Director for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova Martin Raiser to Belarus has started on September 13, informs the newspaper "Nasha Niva" Martin Raiser is to hold meetings in the government, in the National Bank and the President's Administration, with representatives of international community, business and analytical communities. He is also to participate in the discussions during the visits of the World Bank's experts who work in the country, on the issues of macromonitoring, privatization, tax and budget policy.

Raiser plans to visit Brest, where he will meet with the key officials of the region and see the free economic zone "Brest", on September 16.

Let us remind you that Belarus has received a 200 million US dollars credit for the aims of development from the World Bank in December 2009. Belarus became a member of the World Bank in 1992. During this period, 643 million US dollars has been granted to the country for projects realization.
