Young opposition activist's trial scheduled for March 3
Artsiom Dubski, a member of the youth pressure group Malady Front, will appear in the Asipovichy City Court on March 3, reports the web site of Malady Front
The 22-year-old youth activist was detained on February 13 in Homel when trying to cross the Russia-Belarus border. Artsiom Dubski is a defendant in the notorious Case of 14. He was sentenced to two years of restricted freedom for taking part in a protest of entrepreneurs in January 2008.
Later, a criminal case was opened against the activist for evading the restricted freedom punishment. If convicted, he faces up to 3 years in jail.
