Young opposition leader faces military service
KGB and police agents today attempted to discharge Franak Vyachorka, the leader of the Youth of the Belarusian Popular Front, from a military hospital where he was undergoing medical checkups in order to take him to a military conscription office forcefully, Vyachorka told the European Radio for Belarus.
However, the young politician has not completed his checkups yet. He says he is suffering from high blood pressure, sight problems and flat feet.
He has not passed those doctors yet. Vyachorka also noted that during the check ups, the doctors would distort the data, reducing the blood pressure figures and other data. He says he is going to file a lawsuit against the military hospital today.
The politician does not rule out that he will be declared fit for military service and sent to a drafting office right away.
