Young specialists’ block of flats being built in marshland in Baranavichy
Medical workers and teachers from Baranavichy are refusing to build a 9-storied block of flats in the marshland. They doubt the building will be durable enough.
Members of cooperative housing #178 were promised that the house would be built elsewhere but then the construction was changed without their agreement.
“We do not trust in the technology of panel house building on poles. Furthermore, we have to pay extra money for the poles. Thus, families building three-room flats will have to pay 3 million roubles more”, - said a member of the cooperative. The majority of our members are low-paid young specialists. Meanwhile, poles are already being installed.
