Youth activist Aleh Surhan released from jail
Aleh Surhan, an activist with Maladaya Belarus (Young Belarus) youth group, has been released from a colony in Orsha, reports Narodnaya Volya. Aleh Surhan was detained in Vitsebsk when he was trying to hang a white-red-white flag. The activist was charged with disobeying police officers and sentenced to imprisonment.
When immediately out of the colony gates, Aleh Surhan shouted "Long Live Belarus!". He was greeted by his colleagues: Maladaya Belarus leader Artur Finkevich, regional coordinator Nasta Mashchava and his family.
