Zeltser's brother writes to Belarus's prosecutor general

Mark Zeltser, the brother of Emanuel Zeltser, a US lawyer detained by security services in Minsk, has sent an open letter to Belarus's Prosecutor General Ryhor Vasilevich. In his letter, Mark is asking the Belarusian official to save detainee's life. Zeltser's relatives believe that his health condition is critical. The letter, quoted by the Belapan news agency, writes that Zeltser is denied medication which is critical for his life. The appeal is accompanied with the statement from doctors.

The Belarus's security service, KGB and the Belarusian Foreign Ministry have declined to comment on this letter.
