Zhirinovski: Embassy incident – beginning of pre-election campaign

The incident near the Russian Embassy in Minsk is the beginning of Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s pre-election campaign. The opinion has been expressed by the deputy head of the State Council, leader of the Liberal-Democratic Party of Russia Vladimir Zhirinovski, reports BelaPAN. In Zhirinovski’s opinion, the incident probably wasn’t planned by Lukashenka himself, but it was done by his staff. They decided to aggravate relations with Russia and to attract Belarusian patriots to Lukashenka’s side, thinks Zhirinovski.

Let us remind you that strangers threw a petrol bomb to the territory of the Russian Embassy in Minsk on the evening of August 30. Nobody was injured but one of the bombs hit a company car. The car burnt down.
