Zmitser Bulanau's mother worries about her son's life
Claudia Bulanava, a mother of the accused in mass riots, complained to the public prosecutor's office once again about bad confinement conditions of her son.
In her complaint the lady enlists the following facts - Zmitser is sick in rheumatism, which got worse due to constant draught in the cell, his disease led to chronic throat inflammation and a series of complications on his kidneys, valves and joints. Moreover, Zmitser has complicated allergic reactions. The treatment he gets in the isolator does not make him feel better, but only decreases his health condition. He has written to his mother that he is feeling worse as a result - he has headaches, insomnia, feeling of pressure in his chest. "Especially in the evening - I can fall asleep only with a medicine", the human rights center "Viasna" informs.
Zmitser Bulanau informed his mother through the lawyer that he could not get up by himself due to severe pains in the joints on February 18. His cellmates demanded a doctor who gave him an injection of diclofenac. They promised to transfer the prisoner to the specialized hospital. However, he remained in the detention center, upon the latest information of February 19 - they just transferred him to another cell.
"In a situation like this, - Claudia Bulanava informs in her complaint, - "my son can lose not only his health, but his life, as the conditions in the pre-trial detention center No. 1 do not allow to reinstate one's health even with medicines".
The lady has enclosed an epicrisis of health condition and an act of health examination of her son, with her complaint.
She asks the public prosecutor to consider the issue of Zmitser Bulanau's release on recognizance, taking into account serious deterioration of his health.
Zmitser Bulanau was arrested at the Independence Square and sentenced to 10 days of administrative detention. On January 12 he was imprisoned in the pre-trial detention center at Akrestsina Street in Minsk, and on Janury 14 he was transferred to the detention center No. 1 at Valadarski Street. He has spent the whole term in the over-crowded cell with 30 prisoners.
